2月14日 One Key to Decrypt Them AllIf you haven't already heard, the protection on the next generation format has been circumvented. I say circumvented because no hacking or cracking tools were used.
It’s kind of complicated but from what I understand a processing key has been found that will decrypt any Blu-Ray and HD-DVD movie.
Before you had to find the decryption key for each movie. This was done by playing the selected movie in Power DVD HD (or any other player capable of playing HD content) and dumping the memory.
I’m not the best person to explain it, but that’s the general gist of it. DailyTech have a much better article explaining it in further detail. I suggest you read it. 2月1日 Loki Has Vanished... For NowWell the game I've been talking about on this blog has official finished. Loki has posted a message on the main site. But theres still hope yet, she talks about seeing her at the next VanishingPoint! Which for main is a great relief, because we (the technologically and puzzling solving community) have really enjoyed this game.
I wonder what the next VanishingPoint is? Could it be the next Windows Client OS? Or could it be the upcoming Windows Longhorn Server?
Loki also emailed all those who took part in the game and gave us plenty of information about herself and her real name.
Heres copy and paste from the email I recieved:
"Congratulations on a game well played, and thank you for helping us disappear.
