7月21日 Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsNO SPOILERS AHEAD
I WILL NOT REVEAL ANYTHING CRUCIAL Just finished reading Deathly Hallows – what a great read! My heart has never beaten so fast, and I’ve never cried out so loudly in my life. Harry Potter books have a way of dragging you inside the books and making you feel the way the characters feel, truly exceptional writing in my opinion. As great as the book was (and it was honestly) there was a slight elemental of disappointment. Because this is what we (read: Harry Potter fans) have been waiting for since we read the first book. And we all wanted different endings, in tune with which characters we liked and which we didn’t. But not everyone could be pleased, I for one am very happy with the ending. I wouldn't change a thing, not one single thing. I would like to thank JKR, for this fantastic (this word is an understatment, can't think of a word that truly describes my love for the books) series of books. That I will read again and again, and read them to my children and my childrens' children. 7月12日 Review: Harry Potter and the Order of the PhoenixI thought this was one of the best Harry Potter films yet, it isn't as "dark" as everyone says it is. It could have been much darker in my opinion. Obviously alot was left out from the book, it only deals with the main storyline. I do still feel however that Daniel and the rest can't really act. They either over-act or under-act. Only a couple times did I see REAL acting. (no offence meant to any of the actors) Special effects were simply awesome, specially when Dumbledores Army were casting Expecto Patronum. Luna Lovegood didn't get enough screen-time, should have had way more! I saw this at IMAX (Birmingham) so I got the 3D treatment, first time I've been to the IMAX so it was awesome. The Ministry of Magic battle was jaw dropping, although it didn't last long enough for my liking. 8/10. PS. Oh yeah, the kiss scene lingered on for too long. |
